Rollers/Sparkers

This is the beautiful Sue, with her very talented partner John McMahon, of the wonderful Rollers/Sparkers - http://www.rollerssparkers.com/ - who release their second album on 27th June. Their first, "Second Level Crossing" was deservedly a big underground hit. There's quite a buzz about the new release, but I'm told the band haven't gone commercial this time round either, preferring to build their loyal fanbase rather than storm the mainstream charts. Watch this space.

The bluebells and wild garlic were in full bloom in early May.

A highlight of the past couple of weeks was going to Cathy's confirmation day - lots of family and friends were in attendance, but the guest of honour was definitely Daddy Paul.

I enjoyed photographing this great quintet of kids and their families after their first communions last week.

Finally, an original shopfront in Boyle in the evening sunshine last week.

Amanda & Ronan

I tagged along on a wedding with David last week to the Radisson Hotel in Rosses Point - http://www.irishweddingphotography.com/ - and promised Amanda & Ronan I'd put up a few pictures for them to view as they enjoy their Italian honeymoon. Rather than preview the album; here are a few of mine from slightly alternative angles.

Yes!

Paul McCann won a big competition on local radio station Shannonside FM last week, for an 18 carat white gold 45-point solitaire diamond ring to celebrate the opening of Center Jewellers new shop in Carrick-On-Shannon. Bravely, with thousands listening in, Paul actually proposed to Sandra live on-air on during Pete Casey's Afternoon Show. Of course, Sandra said yes. He made it official last Friday when they collected the prize, and got down on bended knee. I'm sure Paul will be delighted that this picture made the lead photo on the front of this week's Leitrim Post.
